Leafy fall OOTD
Although technically this dress is printed with tulips, I bought it thinking that they were colorful fall leaves. It was an ebay find after I never managed to snag the red version even after I saved it to my Saks.com shopping bag last year.
I've worn it a bunch since the weather cooled, to dinner, to campus, to a wedding rehearsal, and while sight-seeing on a recent conference trip to St. Paul/Minneapolis. It is warm and comfortable. Now that I see it in photos, I prefer how it looks on me with the belt. In case you hope to find one, I'm wearing a medium so this dress runs big but is true to size for Marc by Marc Jacobs dresses sized by letter rather than number.
Details:
Marc by Marc Jacobs Mareika Dress (same print, same collection on sale extra 25% off with code yooxremix!)
Spanx tights
Ann Taylor flats in pic 1; Tory Burch Revas in pic 2
Balenciaga Day bag in pic 1
Belt in pic 2 stolen from a See by ChloƩ dress
Emilia is wearing a Ralph Lauren dress (runs very large! She's almost 2 and this is size 12 mo; current season version here), Tommy Hilfiger cardigan, Stride Rite shoes, and Target tights.

A review of The Bouqs!
Earlier this month I recieved my first bouquet from The Bouqs (who I learned about by watching their episode of Shark Tank) and wanted to share my experience. The Bouqs concept is straight-forward. They specialize in flowers. Very beautiful, high-quality, sustainable flowers. No vases, no balloons, no overpriced stuffed animals. They source many of their flowers from South America where they're grown on the side of a volcano. It costs $40 for a single "Volcano" Bouq ($50 for a "California" one) and you can double your flowers for an extra $10. Shipping is included in that price. They occasionally run promotions, for example they recently ran one where you could double up your Bouq without paying the additional surcharge.
When I ordered my Bouq, I specified a ship date and waited with anticipation. When they arrived I had to provide my signature upon delivery. They came in a branded box that was emblazoned with instructions for best flower care practices. And they were packaged very carefully. When I opened the box up, the flowers looked thirsty, understandably. They had traveled a long way. I quickly trimmed and freshened them according to the instructions and a few hours later they were just gorgeous. They lasted a solid week before starting to look sad. I was really happy with the experience and want to thank The Bouqs for sending me the flowers to review. Although I received the flowers as a gift, my opinions are my own.
Feel free to check out The Bouqs for yourself!

Poorly timed OOTD
My outfit photo timing has been off lately. I wind up either missing (the ever decreasing) daylight hours entirely or being met with uncooperative rainy weather. I've been such a scatterbrain lately and also misplaced my camera for a week. During this time I took pics but with a timer app on my iPhone. This means that already cruddy indoor pics turned out even blurrier! But I am not sure that I will repeat this outfit during this semester so I may as well document it using what I have.
Jeweler's Choice Cardigan from Anthropologie (old but new to me via ebay)

Tired OOTD
I look so tired in this picture. My on campus days have been so harried lately that it's a miracle I ever remember to take a photo. And to indulge a retake or two is just not realistic. Besides, this is an accurate representation of how I looked because I was so tired. Between conference prep, my usual work responsibilities, Covey, parenting, and life I am so tired. But I still enjoy sharing my diary of outfits so you get to see this photo of my tired face and well-worn (aka tired, recycled, remixed, old but loved, etc.) dress.
To my fellow academics: Isn't October supposed to be easier than September?? I'm getting crushed for some reason.
